A model of your business that updates every day and matches how your company actually runs: orders, collections, payments, seasonality.

You reach him on any channel

WhatsApp, email or dashboard: you pick, the conversation is one and the same. And on the other end there's always your CFO, not a ticket.

Any channel. Always the same person

Four things, done end-to-end

Not another dashboard to stare at. Four things somebody takes care of, from start to result.

1

Your actual CFO

A person who follows your company every day, not a piece of software. He looks at the numbers before you do and comes with the right questions: do we really need this credit line, do we keep this customer on 120-day terms, does this investment hold up.

  • A 30-minute call on your numbers, every week
  • He writes to you when something doesn't add up, before it becomes a problem
  • Answers the same day on WhatsApp, email or chat, after hours too
  • Prepares the dossiers for banks, shareholders and your accountant
  • Always the same person: after three months he knows your business almost as well as you do

Invoice management

He follows your invoices one by one, from the day you issue them. Reminders before the due date, a phone call when it's needed, payment plans agreed. With the right tone for every customer: a commercial relationship shouldn't break over a badly worded reminder.

This is money you've already earned. You did the work, you issued the invoice: only the payment is missing.

Cash management

Get to know the cash you will have over the next three months. No last-minute surprises and no shortfall you find out about the day before: when the balance gets close to a critical point he tells you first, with the alert and with the plan to fix it.

Reports and alerts reach you on their own. And when you want to know what happens if you take that order, you ask and he runs it.

4

Product-level margins

He tells you whether a job is profitable before you sign it, not after you close it. He works through past performance, revenue on one side and direct costs on the other, to show you where the margin actually ends up: line by line, product by product, customer by customer.

Almost always the same thing comes up: there's one product you sell a lot of and it's losing you money.

Real companies, 2 to 15 million

Built for SMEs. Industry barely matters: pasta factories, agriturismi, manufacturing, services. What matters is that there's an owner signing off and an admin function that isn't enough any more.

1–3M

The first leap

The company grew faster than its admin. There's one person doing invoices, banking and bookkeeping, and everything else lives in the owner's head.

Needs: order, cash under control and invoices collected on time
3–8M

Complexity kicks in

The business gets complicated: the first serious investments, more banks to keep together, cash that no longer follows revenue. Margins have thinned and nobody can say exactly where.

Needs: management control and planning, product margins, cash, receivables
8–15M

The audit threshold

This is where statutory audit kicks in, and with it a far heavier load of document management and process. You need numbers that can be traced and rebuilt, not spreadsheets on somebody's desktop.

Needs: process, document management and numbers ready for the auditor

No software, no lock-in, no waiting

Zero software to install

We connect to what you already use: SdI, banks, ERP, Excel. Nothing to change, nothing to learn.

Your data stays yours

Read-only access you revoke whenever you want. Servers in Europe, no data sold to third parties, your numbers never train public models.

We fit your processes

We don't ask you to work the way the software wants. We look at how you work and fit into it, alongside the people you already have.

On 24/7

Money questions don't wait for Monday. Write when you need to, from WhatsApp or the dashboard: the answer comes.

Always the same person

A CFO with a name, who after three months knows your business. Not a call center, not a ticket queue.

Month to month

No long contract: if you don't need it any more, you cancel whenever you want. We'd rather you stay because it's useful.

The questions everyone asks

What does "having a CFO" actually mean?
It's the person who holds the company's money in hand: how much cash you'll have in three months, which customers aren't paying, which products actually make money, what to bring to the bank when you ask for a credit line. In an SME nobody usually does this job: the accountant closes last year's books, the owner decides on instinct. With us you have that person, for the share of time you need, without having to hire them.
How do we start? The first steps
It starts with a free half-hour call on your numbers. If it makes sense to work together, another thirty minutes activates the accesses: the authorization on your electronic invoices and the PSD2 connection to your accounts. From there we do the work. Within the first week you get the first complete picture: projected cash, overdue items, margins. We go through it together in the first review call. Then you settle into the rhythm: a call every week or two, plus him writing to you when something needs it.
How does working with your CFO actually work?
You pick the channel: WhatsApp, email or the dashboard. The conversation is always the same one, only where you write it changes: money questions come up on-site, in the car or at seven in the evening, not in front of a computer. And it doesn't always start with you: if he sees an invoice about to go past due or cash tightening, he writes to you. If you want to look at the numbers yourself there's the dashboard, and you decide who gets in: usually the owner and whoever runs admin, often the accountant too. Everyone has their own login and you can revoke it any time.
Does this replace my accountant?
No. Your accountant handles the balance sheet, tax filings and compliance. We look forward: cash, receivables, margins and decisions. We work and communicate together with them, on the same data: they're often the first person we give dashboard access to.
How much does it cost?
A fixed monthly fee, based on the size of your company and the services you need. No revenue percentage, no surprise costs. We'll give you the exact number on the first call, even if you decide not to start.
How do you get access to my invoices?
All Italian electronic invoices pass through the Revenue Agency's Interchange System (SdI). You give us a consultation authorization: the same instrument your accountant uses, but read-only. We read the invoices you issue and receive; we don't become your intermediary and we can't issue, edit or send anything on your behalf. It's the cleanest data available on your business, and you don't have to upload anything by hand.
And the bank accounts? Is it safe?
We use PSD2, the European regulation that lets banks share account data with the account holder's authorization. Access is read-only: we see transactions, we can't initiate payments. You give the authorization and you revoke it whenever you want.
Who am I actually talking to in chat?
Your CFO: a person, always the same one. Behind the scenes we use a lot of technology, including artificial intelligence, to keep the model updated, pull out numbers and prepare answers quickly. But you're never left talking alone to a machine: what you receive has been reviewed by them, and they're the ones putting their name to it.
Do I have to change ERP or install something?
No. Keep the ERP you use, the accountant you have and the banks you work with. We connect to the data that already exists.
How much of my time does this take?
Half an hour at the beginning to activate the accesses, then a short call every week or every two, whichever you prefer. We do the collecting and organizing of the numbers.
How long until I see something?
The first complete picture, with projected cash, overdue items and margins, is ready within the first week from access activation. The first concrete decisions come in the first review call, usually a week later: that's where we go through the numbers together and decide what to do first.
How do I end the service if I don't need it any more?
It works month to month, with no long contract: one email and we close at the end of the month. You revoke the invoice authorization and the PSD2 access, we hand over the data we've collected and delete the rest. We'd rather you stay because it's useful, not because you signed something.
Who can see my numbers?
Only the team members working on your company. Servers in Europe, GDPR compliant, no third-party data sales. Artificial intelligence runs on the digital twin of your company, which stays yours: your numbers are never used to train public models. You can revoke accesses any time and we delete the data.

No call centers. If you write to clearfin, you hear back from us.
